It's Fubar and needs better employees
Workers stand there & talk instead of doing their job. Always a line, usually only 1 worker to tend to said line. I only use USPS because UPS is way too expensive.
How is anyone who works a normal 9-5 job supposed to be able to utilize the post office here in independence? Every single other post office is open untill atleast 5 or 6, most ones in cedar rapids and waterloo are open unroll 8-10pm. I have never been able to use this post office even though it is right next to my house. I always go to the next town over. I ship almost every week as I work from home selling my art so if whoever is running the independence post office would like a lot more business then they should extend their hours more. Untill then I frankly hate this place and who ever is in charge.
I'm a OIF OEF Army Veteran. The postal employees in Independence, IA Have NO Integrity & put peoples lives on the line by holding or not delivering VA Medication.
Only open for the people who don't work normal hours, closed on Saturdays and don't leave packages that get shipped without enough postage to be shipped in the first place.
This is absolutely the worst post office in the USA
